It’s the first day of spring! Goodbye short, cold days. Hello bar-b-ques and short sleeves!

And it seems our nation’s long real-estate winter may finally be losing it’s icy grip. The Commerce Department reported today the highest level of new housing permits since 2008 – a 5.1% surge that far exceeded expectations.

In even better news, local trends match those nationwide. Windsor, for example, issued more new housing permits than in any month since 2008 … nearly tripling the number of permits issued in February of 2011. Further, Loveland┬áissued more permits in 2011 than any year since 2007.

If builders are optimistic about new housing opportunities, I am too! For a same-day showing of a model home, call me at (970) 988-9161. I’d be happy to show you what area builders have to offer.
