Because of our proximity to Denver, Fort Collins real estate often mirrors our bigger brother to the south. If that pattern holds, then we received some great news today.

Denver real estate saw a significant uptick in the month of May. Sales for single family homes increased 19%, average days on the market dropped 13%, and average sales price increased 3%. I’ve been reporting several positive signs for Northern Colorado real estate, and this development just adds to the anticipation that the real estate market in Colorado is turning the corner.

The real question, now, is what these numbers mean for your individual financial situation. Perhaps you’ve avoided selling your home to wait for a more favorable situation? Or perhaps you’ve been waiting for the market to bottom out before buying. Either way, I’d be happy to give an honest assessment of your individual real estate situation.
